Andre Bovee-Begun. He was the news editor of The Varsity while I was in my first year as photo editor. Before that he was their one and only copy editor. He is currently living in Japan, teaching English, writing, and maintaining a blog called Letters Home. The second one is to me! He will be home for good in August, but I snapped this pic while he was visiting for a week in February.

Madeleine Hayles. She used to be called “Muffin” but I guess she hasn’t gone by that name in a little while. I am stuck in the past. She works at Ezra’s Pound, which is probably my favorite coffee shop in Toronto, and takes history at York University.

Bill Corrigan. He’s a very awesome musician in Detroit. He tickles keys better than anyone I know. When he’s not teaching strangers how to play fugues, he sometimes plays in this Ann Arbor band called the Telephone Callers. Here he is in a dumpster behind the main branch of the Detroit Public Library.

Jacob Hurwitz-Goodman. A filmmaker and longtime friend. His first feature film, Phantom Vibrations, debuted in Detroit last week. We worked on this together and his other work is great too, especially this one.

Alex Nursall. U of T’s most productive person. She manages to be a Don a Sir Daniel Wilson hall, take photos for both The Varsity and The Newspaper, and volunteer regularly at CIUT. God only knows what else she does with her time.

Colin Hinz. I met him at a noise show in Chinatown back in 04 when I first moved to Toronto. He makes lots of cool machines, which you can see on his website.

Diana Wilson. She studies philosophy and is really in to radio and podcasts. She’s even a host on CIUT’s “Take 5” program.

Emanuel Epstein, at his home in Southfield, MI. He is a retired chemist, son of Russian immigrants, and a very nice man. He’s also my Grandpa. Here’s another picture I took of him this summer before a family BBQ.

Dana Wright and Elliot Jones on the porch of 64 Augusta (my home). Friends, sometimes live-in house guests, and serious Rock N Rollers. Dana is in a band called Dentata and Elliot is in about eight bands, including Brides, The Meat, Tamsen and Elliot, and Little Girls. Elliot is also a cook and Dana is also the spawn of Satan. YEAAAAH!
